the key is to get other people to tell you how
First... I was totally 1337 last night and learned how to haxxor (read: tweak) Firefox to make it faster. The key was getting somebody to show me how. And the second part was the very clever "about:config" command in the address bar. From there you search for pipelining and set to "true" rather than false.
That way, instead of having one packet of webpage information download at a time in sequence, you get more of them at the same time! (there's a value [default set to four I think] and you can changed that to 15 or 30 or however many packets you want downloaded at the same time!)
Anyway, after all that hacking I naturally looked up Super Mario speed runs on youtube. What else is a geek to do on a friday night? This guy is hilarious! Watch the Super Mario Bros. Forever ROM below. (ps; it's a voice-over of someone else's run)
Also... what's up with all the jerks out there posting Harry Potter spoilers? The internet is a minefield! Careful of what comments you read today and over the next week.
