I've been using my new Wordpress blog for about two weeks now and I've decided that I like it.  And so, sadly, I am retiring my livejournal.  You can find new posts over here.  or you can read them via RSS.  Don't worry, I still have my friends list bookmarked, and because I'm addicted to the internet I love to read entries!  So keep writing them!  It makes it easier to stalk you =P

yes -- especially you.

10th-Nov-2007 02:17 pm - Buffy the Vampire Slayer, episode 8
books
The newest buffy comic came out on Wednesday but I only picked it up recently.  To be honest, I hadn't been too invested in this story arc, and I almost thought about skipping it.  Anyway, I got it.  And this is what happened:

Faith is still undercover and hanging out with the Princess Genevieve.  Insane-slayer wants to kill Buffy and rule over the world with Faith at her side.  To celebrate they take a bath together.  Seriously.  I'm not too sure how often that happens with the English, but where guys bond over video games and beer women seem to bond over bubble baths and terrycloth.  Interesting insights.

Warlock dude summons Buffy to the castle so Genevieve can kill her, but Buffy counters with a bad-ass headbutt.  Faith decides it's best to stop the fight by jumping out a window with Buffy and they land in the shallow end of the pool.  This leads to more chick-bath-time as Buffy and Faith fight in water over a misunderstanding.  Buffy doesn't believe Giles would ask Faith for help just as Willow ports Buffy back home.  The issue ends with Buffy pissed at Giles (I don't think those two have gotten along since season five!) and Genevieve feels betrayed by Faith and wants to take an axe to her neck.

So... I never really cared for Faith.  This story has been pretty sub-par.  The bath scene was ridiculous.  Is there anyone in this comic who isn't a lesbian?  Dawn, maybe?  Buffy was awoken from Amy's spell by what's her face with the lip balm.  Is that going to be her new love interest?  I have no idea where this series is going (again), and it feels like I could have skipped this arc entirely and not missed anything.

Next issue comes out December 5th, the week after Angel's new comic, "After the Fall".  Cross your fingers that something finally gets explained.  Maybe why Dawn is a giant.  That would be nice.

New post on Wordpress.  Are you curious about...

What VC game is coming out this week? (here's a hint; best game of all time!)
Or what game South Park will parody in an upcoming episode (here's a hint; very popular at the moment)
Or what social networking sites say about your class-system and sexuality?

All that and something about a phone, which isn't really as interesting so I shouldn't have mentioned it just now.

I was writing a post about Dragon's Den, and when I went to publish it wordpress suddenly decided it didn't want to exist anymore.  That's right... my blog is so hard-hitting and amazing that it broke the interwebs while publishing it.  (interesting side note, I first realized this while trying to add the category google to my post... thus adding to the circumstantial evidence that if you type "google" into google you can break the internet.)

Anyway, the post that remains can be found here.  Better check it out while you have the chance... my next post my reverse the Earth's rotation and set all the clocks back an hour

3rd-Nov-2007 12:48 am - don't panic... but this game is EVIL
colbert

Assassin’s Creed (the Creed Challenge) is killing me.  (pwning, if you will.)  I am now currently ranked 13,000-something and I think I only have 5 moves left.  I’m not sure.  This mini-game is supposed to go on for another 10 days.  I think I’ve lost.

AC did announce the winner of the Creed video challenge though.  The short film is really well done — better than I would have made (remember when I wanted to make an entry?)  The winner seems a little weak at first when I watched “His Final Hit“.  “Ultimate Weapon” (the winner) is kinda cheesy.  And a little pulp-fiction-ish.  But when you watch the other runner-ups you see how overused the inner-monologue can be — it’s cliché.  And, Ultimate Weapon had a good narration, cool transitions, and a decent fight scene.

I've been playing Naruto: Rise of a Ninja.  It's awesome.  You can check out my impressions of the game here:  Wordpress

Daniel is coming over tonight and we'll play some video games (score!)  I'll post about the good times later tonight
1st-Nov-2007 10:27 am - oh xbox icon, how I miss you!

T-Minus 90 minutes before I dash out and pick up Naruto: Rise of a Ninja.  I was so excited about it yesterday I watched an episode or two (haha, yes, I will leave the amount of episodes I saw ambiguous.  Take THAT!).  The game takes placed over the first 80 episodes of the anime, which technically brings it into the second episode of season four!

And for those of you following at home, that ends the awesome fight he has with Gaara... which, if you think about it, makes an amazing boss fight =)

Also, it's November now.  My thoughts on the month follow here (as well as some good news for Whedon and Eliza Dushku fans)

OH!  and Kimberly wrote a post too!  check out her guest blog entry where she uses words like "color" and "honor" and talks about all the rave of 3D movies making a comeback.

10 points if you can guess what movie "I'd rather be Happy than Right" comes from.  And since I have "pages" now on Wordpress, I can finally keep track.  oh, and googling it is cheating.  trust me... I'll know!
31st-Oct-2007 03:12 am - More hallowe'en awesomeness
RainbowEyes
Last post I mentioned my favourite Simpson’s Hallowe’en episode (”this is gonna cost me“), and apparently someone at IGN has awesome taste because they wrote their own top ten hallowe’en blog thingy (and mentioned the same episode!). This one focused on Hallowe’en TV specials. Are your favourites on the list? I think they were bound by one episode per franchise — but they have some good Hallowe’en taste — except for their number one… which I never cared for.

As usual, the rest of this post (complete with commentary on pumpkins, vampire games, and my first ever wordpress comment!) is on Wordpress.
